Don't Look Back
There's a story in the Bible about a woman that was never named. She was only known as "Lot's Wife". She was the woman that turned into a pillar of salt because she looked back at something God told her not to.
I always wondered "why salt?" She could have dropped dead or become very ill, but God chose to cause her to become non existent. There was literally no trace of her because she chose to look back. At some point looking back can cause you to lose your true identity. You no longer move forward.
Have you ever spoken to someone that was just released from prison for an extended period of time? Their conversation may seem strange because they may reference things from years before. You may notice that their fashions are outdated. It's because they've missed time interacting with the world. Time has gone by and others have developed and grown but that person has stayed stuck in a certain period of time.
Not letting go of the past and looking back will cause you to miss out on opportunities for growth and development.
